What Do I Do?
Fun A Day Dundee is about making time for an activity or activities, or an art form that brings you joy. Brighten up your January by spending time doing the thing(s) that you enjoy. Some people create a creative goal (e.g. work on a painting all month or take photographs every day/few days.) Others learn a new skill (creative, musical, physical etc.) Some focus on their personal to do list (of things they never get round to doing that bring them joy. Perhaps reading, writing, exploring etc.) We’ve also seen artists (amateur and professional) use FADD as a means to explore creatively with no pressure. It’s just for fun remember! This often leads to new artwork that really does bring them joy to create, while also inspiring additional new work and opportunities later in the year. You can either focus on one theme/ one activity or many themes and activities – it’s up to you. Browse this website for ideas and insights into previous participants and their projects.

How Do I Do It?
Depending on what you’re doing you may find you document your projects progress or not. You may be creating physical artwork, or photographing what you’re doing, perhaps you’re recording your fun using sound/video/journal/blogging.
Some people enjoy contributing to the community online by sharing their progress on social media with other participants using our hashtag this year #FADD2022. It’s a great wee community where a whole variety of people support and cheer on each other as we all make a bet to achieve some fun and personal goals over the month.
If you’re wanting to keep it personal and private, there’s no need to share. You can always watch others progress and if you feel like sharing with even just the FADD team at any point, send us an email, we’d love to hear how you’re getting on.

How Do I Take Part?
